Sandra L. Proszkowski, age 67, of Redford, Michigan, was welcomed by her Lord and Savior to eternal life on, Wednesday, February 23, 2022. Sandy was born on March 7, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan, to John E. Whiting (DOD 8/9/2002) and Virginia H. (Brockney) Whiting (DOD 2/12/1986). She was their only child. Sandra was graduated from Grosse Pointe North High School in the Class of 1972. On May 28, 1982, Sandra was married to Edward Anthony Proszkowski, of Detroit, Michigan, who preceded her in death on July 19, 2018. They had no children.
Surviving Sandra are the issue of her father's sisters: Helen Culver (Art), Genevieve Balasia (Alex), Berniece Carns (Dave), Ruth Roediger (Chuck), Evelyn Robertson (Orville), and Doreen Wakefield (Jack). Also, Surviving Sandra are sister-inlaw, Christine P. McLean, of Rochester, Michigan, brothers-in-law, Ernest R. Lenning of Harrison, Michigan, Anthony E. (Kathy) Proszkowski of Shelby Township, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews descendant from the Whiting and Proszkowski families.
Ms. Proszkowski's remains will rest with her husband at Maple Grove Cemetery in Harrison, Michigan, along with the photographs of her many pets she loved so much in her lifetime and whom she called her "Babies.'
