Nilda Diana Meloche age 80 of Harrison passed away Thursday, June 30,2022, at MyMichigan Health, Midland. Nilda was born December 30, 1941, in Corpus Christi, Texas the daughter of Jesus Riojas and Angielita (Medina) Riojas. Diana was united in marriage to Mr. Ron Meloche, who preceded her in death in 1998.
Mrs. Meloche has resided in Harrison since 2005, moving from Fenton, Michigan. Diana was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison, St. Athanasius Anna J. Guild, and the Women of the Moose Harrison Chapter 1804. Diana enjoyed playing bingo, taking casino trips throughout Michigan, watching SCI-FI movies, baking, and cooking for her family, reading, and loving on her dog “Lupita”.
Surviving Diana is her close friend and companion, Mr. Richard Gostomski of Harrison, her loving children: Jeffrie Riojas and wife Nicole of Macomb, Michigan, Shawn McCrory and wife Jacqueline of London, England, Ryan Shane of New York City, New York and Daneille Stuber and husband Mike of Fenton, Michigan, six grandchildren, two sisters: Linda Bearss and husband Ron of Harrison and Sue Marineau and husband Bob also of Harrison, one brother, Rolland Riojas and Margaret of Hubbard Lake, Michigan, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family. Mrs. Meloche also was preceded in death by her parents, and sister-in-law Sue Riojas.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Diana will be held Wednesday, July 06, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. from St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 310 South Broad St., Harrison, with Rev. Father J. Marcel Portelli officiating. Visitation will take place Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until time of mass. Inurnment will be in St. Athanasius Catholic Cemetery, Harrison.
