Obituary for Leonard Jay "Leo" Henderson

Leonard “Leo” Jay Henderson age 66 of Farwell, Michigan passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, February 25, 2022. Leonard was born October 28, 1955, in Pontiac, Michigan the son of Albert and Pearl (Schnell) Henderson. Leonard honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Henderson was united in marriage to Ms. Diana Lynn Duke on October 17, 1981, in Plano, Texas. Leo retired from General Motors Corporation after thirty years of dedicated service. He had resided in Farwell since 2012, moving from Paradise, Michigan. Leo enjoyed woodworking and found great pleasure in creating wood creations for his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching movies.
Surviving Mr. Henderson is his loving wife of forty years, Mrs. Diana Lynn Henderson, his three children; Michelle Klaasen and husband James of Sparta, Michigan, Angela Detwiler and husband Adam of DeWitt, Michigan and Leo Jay Henderson and wife Kaci of Lovington, New Mexico, ten grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, four sisters; Sue, Karen, Linda, and Judy, two brothers; Gary and Doug, plus many nieces, nephews, and his beloved fur babies; Brutus, Buster and Boone. Leo was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Harry Kipp and one sister, Gladys.
Military Honors and inurnment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan, at a later date.
