Obituary for Geraldine Ann "Geri" Brighton
Geraldine “Geri” Ann Brighton age 73 of Harrison passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022 at McLaren Flint Hospital, Flint, Michigan. Geraldine was born September 17, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Charles John Warren and Alvesta Rose (Kaley) Warren. Geri graduated from Mc Kenzie High School in 1966. Geri was united in marriage to Mr. William “Bill” Brighton on November 27, 1986 in Allen Park, Michigan. Mr. Brighton preceded Geri in death on June 28, 2004 after seventeen years of marriage.
Geri had resided in Harrison since 1990, moving from Allen Park. Mrs. Brighton was currently employed with Harrison Do it Best Lumber as a Bookkeeper for over twenty-eight years. Prior to her relocating in Harrison, Geri retired from General Motors Corporation in 1987 as a secretary. Geri was a member of the American Legion Post 404 Ladies Auxiliary and Women of the Moose Harrison Chapter #1804. Geri enjoyed grooming her yard, floral gardening, bowling on various leagues throughout the years, playing computer games, listening to her music, baking her delicious rum balls and cookies for the holidays, and spoiling her grandchildren and grand dogs.
Surviving Mrs. Brighton is her loving son, Jeffrey White and wife Leslee of Harrison, three grandchildren: Dillon White and Cody Gardner, one great-grandchild, Rayden Gardner, a sister-in-law, Gloria Warren of Lakeport, Michigan, plus many nieces, nephews, extended family and her grand dogs: Toby and Sammy. Geri also was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister, Patricia Day, one brother, William Warren and one brother-in-law, Timothy Day.
A Life Celebration Gathering for Geri will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service, 165 West Oak St., Harrison, Mi. 48625.
