Obituary for Earl William LaFleur. Sr.

Earl William LaFleur Sr., age 81 of Harrison went to be with his Lord on Sunday, November 13, 2022. Earl was born April 30, 1941 in Marquette, Michigan the son of William H. LaFleur and Rosetta Margaret (Cooper) LaFleur. Mr. LaFleur honorably enlisted in the United States Navy and served on the USS Lawrence during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Soon after his Honorable Discharge from the United States Navy, Earl was united in marriage to Ms. Judith Ann Yaklin on November 16, 1963. Mrs. La Fleur preceded Earl in death on May 10, 2009 after forty-five years of marriage.
Mr. La Fleur had resided in Harrison since 1974, moving from Freeland, Michigan. Earl retired from General Motors Corporation after thirty-four years of dedicated service. Earl was a dedicated member of Hope Baptist Church, Harrison. In 2010, Mr. LaFleur was united in marriage to Ms. Linda Devore in Harrison.
Surviving Mr. LaFleur are his three loving children: Earl LaFleur Jr. and wife Kathy of Eagle, Michigan, William J. LaFleur and companion Amy Cooper-Beyerle of Harrison and Lynne M. LaFleur of Harrison, his wife, Linda La Fleur of Harrison, five grandchildren: Jessica Gibson and husband Cody, Allison Gust and husband Dave, Sarah Wood, Jake La Fleur and wife Kelsi and Josh Jones, six great-grandchildren, and two arriving soon, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mr. LaFleur also was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters: Rose, Violet and Marjorie.
Funeral services and military honors for Mr. LaFleur will be held Friday, November 18, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. from Hope Baptist Church, 3315 East Townline Lake Road, Harrison, Michigan 48625. Visitation will take place Friday, November 18, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Military honors will immediately follow funeral service. Interment will be in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. Memorial gifts in memory of Earl may be considered to: Paralyzed Veterans of America.
