Obituary for David Michael Griffin
David Michael Griffin age 70 of Harrison passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022, at MyMichigan Medical Center-Midland. David was born March 29, 1951 in Flint, Michigan the son of Harold Wayne Griffin and Laverna (King) Griffin.
Mr. Griffin had been a life-long resident of the Harrison area. David retired from Evart Products of Evart after many years of employment as a machinist. He was passionate about the game of golf, either playing a round or following on television. David enjoyed playing basketball while attending school as well as watching televised Detroit Pistons Basketball games.
Surviving Mr. Griffin is his mother, Laverna Griffin of Harrison, one son, Jeremy Griffin and wife Christina of Bossier City, Louisiana, two grandchildren; Julia Griffin and Nathan Griffin both of Bossier City, one sister, Shirley Matthes of Harrison, one brother, James Griffin and wife Deb of Marion, Michigan, plus many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his father and one brother-in-law, Randy Coltson
A Memorial Gathering honoring Mr. Griffin will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. at Stocking Funeral Home, 165 West Oak Street, Harrison. Inurnment will be in Summerfield Township Cemetery, Harrison on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Memorial gifts in memory of David may be considered to the Griffin family, in care of Jeremy Griffin.
