Obituary for Clifford William Usher

Clifford William Usher, age 69, of Oscoda, formerly of Harrison and Ypsilanti, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022, at My Michigan Hospital in Midland.

Per Clifford's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life for Clifford will take place at a later date. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution may consider the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Clifford was born on March 4, 1953, in Garden City, MI, but raised in Ypsilanti, the son of Vernon and Margaret (Mullins) Usher. Clifford graduated Valedictorian of his class. He was well known throughout the Harrison community and helped raise "a village". He was the DJ at the Harrison Skating Rink and owned Critter's Plus pet store, formerly the Hobby Shop, in Harrison for many years. He enjoyed working on RC cars, trains, and planes. He was a model train aficionado. He wasn't afraid to be outspoken and speak his mind.

Clifford is survived by his girlfriend, Sandra Annis; children, Joyce (Andy) Dulak of Oscoda, Rebecca (Ray) Carlton of Harrison, Heather (Bobby) Thomas, Jr., of Kawkawlin, and Krystofer Usher of Harrison; grandchildren, William, Koree, Kodee, Alex, Thomas, Brendan, Daniel, Tawnee, Kaylee, Gracee, Emma, Krystofer, Jr., and Anthony, Zayden; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Kathy Cinnamon, Vernon "Skip" Usher, Myrna (Richard) Simmons, and Mary White; many nieces, nephews, and the village he helped raise; forever friends, Melonie Usher and Bradley Wade.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Harry Dryer; sister, Ivy (Alex) Trout; and former wife, Robin Jones.
