Dominic D. Orlando 78 of Roseville, Michigan and Harrison, Michigan, passed away at his home in Roseville on Monday, November 26, 2018. Dominic was born on April 13, 1940 in Detroit, the son of Vincenzo and Maria (Biondo) Orlando. Dominic graduated from St. Catherine Catholic School, Detroit, in 1958. While in high school, Dominic earned the distinguished honor of being named All City and All State in football for two consecutive years. On February 21, 1960 in Detroit, Dominic was united in marriage to Ms. Grace Provenzino.
Mr. Orlando resided in Roseville and Harrison for many years. Dominic retired from A&P Grocery Stores after 25 years as a Journeyman Meat Cutter. He loved his country home in Harrison, spending many years surrounding himself with the natural splendor of up-north living. Dominic enjoyed watching televised football games and old western movies. He was proud of his Italian heritage and cherished his time spent with his six grandsons, whom were his pride and joy.
Surviving Dominic is his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Mrs. Grace Orlando of Roseville, three sons; James Orlando of Midland, Michigan, Peter Orlando and wife Trisha of Detroit and Dominic Orlando of Harrison, one daughter, Joanna Joseph of Mount Clemens, Michigan, papa to six grandsons; Dominic A. Orlando and wife Emily, James Orlando, Vincent Joseph, Samuel Joseph, Joshua Orlando and Elijah Orlando, three sisters, many extended family members and his beloved dog, Sable. Mr. Orlando was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place. Family memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts in memory of Mr. Orlando may be considered to the Orlando Family, in care of; Mrs. Grace Orlando.
